Greener Goals & Green Game:Jack Jewsbury, Nat Borchers, Timber Joey, Green Sports Alliance, Hampton Lumber and Timbers & Thorns staff joined together to give back for Earth Day during the MLS Greener Goals Week of Service. The week kicked off with the Community Cycling Center, where volunteers cleaned and repaired donated bikes to be gifted to local children in need. The work moved outside to restore the Wildwood Trail with the Hoyt Arboretum. On Earth Day, Stand Together hosted the Green Game, showcasing a number of sustainability initiatives, local environmental organizations and engaging activations. In addition, the Timbers sported adidas Parley jerseys made from recycled plastics, carpooling discounts through Lyft, sunflower seed packet and Hampton tree saplings giveaways, and local high school tree stewards from David Douglas HS opened the Center Circle Flag.

The week consisted of 30+ volunteer projects with various nonprofit organizations throughout the city, and engaged 1,000+ supporters, including Timbers, Thorns, & T2 players, coaches, ambassadors and front office staff. Each project ranged from making slime, building community gardens, leading soccer clinics for underserved youth, cleaning donated children’s books, and so much more.
