Learn more about how Constellation promotes sustainability through sports here.Additional highlights of Constellation's work includes:

  • Baltimore Ravens Solar Generation: Constellation constructed a 375-kilowatt (DC) solar generation project at the Under Armour Performance Center, the Baltimore Ravens team headquarters and training facility in Owings Mills, MD. This roof-mounted system consists of approximately 1,210 photovoltaic panels on the facility’s field house and grounds keeping buildings. These solar panels generate nearly 15% of the team headquarters’ electricity needs. Check out a video about the solar project here.
  • Wells Fargo Center Wind Energy:  As of 2018, the Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia Flyers, is now powered by 100 percent renewable energy. The South Philadelphia arena is completely powered by wind energy which will greatly reduce the facility’s carbon footprint. The power and renewable energy certificates (RECs) purchased from Constellation will help Comcast Spectacor, owner of the Wells Fargo Center and the Philadelphia Flyers, prevent the emission of more than 14,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas annually and are expected to deliver an environmental benefit equivalent to removing almost 4,000 passenger vehicles from the road.
  • United Center Green Games: Constellation hosts Go Green games each year with the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks to promote sustainability and teach fans how to be more energy efficient at home. This year, in partnership with the Chicago Bulls, we sent volunteers into a local elementary school to play “Energy Efficiency Bingo” with the students to teach them how to be more sustainable.
