In the Summers of 2017 and 2018, Auburn University replaced field lighting at Plainsman Baseball Park and Auburn Soccer Complex with new LED lighting. It's anticipated that the installation will dramatically reduce energy usage at both competition facilities. These are Phase I & II of a V phase process to replace all six competition facility lighting with LED lighting. Phase III is scheduled for Summer 2019 with installation of LED lighting at Hutsell-Rosen Track Stadium.Also in Summer of 2018, Auburn University began replacing older recycle bins at all 16 athletic facilities with new bins.
