As part of their ongoing effort to promote environmental sustainability at Arrowhead Stadium and throughout the city, the Kansas City Chiefs recently revealed their Extra Yard for the Environment program. Designed to devise and implement new green policies for the Kansas City Chiefs, the program is also focused on green efforts in partnership with the University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex that can disseminate to the wider community. To further this last mission, the Extra Yard for the Environment will kick off with a community-wide recycling drive at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, April 20 for four hours starting at 9 am. Partnering with eight metro-area recycling allies, the Chiefs are accepting most recycling donations free of charge and are also accepting older electronic devices for safe recycling for a small fee.The event will offer the opportunity both for the community to safely remove the detritus from their spring cleaning as well as provide the chance to share information and answer questions about the new Extra Yard for the Environment program.
