Canada’s Best Racing Team, competing in the TA2 Trans Am and NASCAR Canadian Tire Series racing circuits, announced last month that it had signed 2014 sensation Kevin Poitras to its team for the 2015 season. Along with Joey McColm and Erica Thiering, Poitras will race in both circuits for the team with an aim at improving on his fourth-place finish in the Trans Am series in 2014. Poitras adds another dimension to CBRT’s commitment to improving the sustainability of its operations. Prior to racing full-time, Poitras had previously founded Post Plastics in 2000. The Toronto-based company is a leader in plastics recycling and landfill waste diversion in Canada, making Poitras an ideal face for the CBRT.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin to our roster of top-notch drivers, all of whom share CBRT's core values and goals,” team owner Bud Morris said about signing Poitras. “As a leader in marketing solutions and strategic partnerships, we embrace the opportunity to work with drivers who can use their background and expertise to strengthen our messages to partners, sponsors and fans.”
