The Atlanta Falcons recently announced the team’s Rise Up & Recycle campaign. Part of the Falcons’ wider sustainability efforts, the new program is designed both to promote recycling at the Georgia Dome and to encourage fans to do the same in their daily lives away from the stadium.

The campaign, created in partnership with Atlanta-based Novelis, the world’s largest recycling company, will coincide with the “Get Caught In the Act” program, where fans will be videotaped recycling in the stadium. Selected participants will have their videos shown on the Jumbotron at the Georgia Dome and will be rewarded with prizes for their participation.“Everyone from the top of the house of the Falcons, from [owner Arthur] Blank, to [GM] Thomas [Dimitroff], to Coach Smith and the players throughout the whole organization are really dedicated to becoming the most sustainable and greenest team in the NFL,” said Kim Adler, Novelis vice president of communication and affairs.
