Sport Positive Summit 2020
Organizers of the Sport Positive Summit, scheduled for March 17-18 at London’s Wembley Stadium, announced that the event has been postponed due to the global expansion of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Sport Positive Summit 2020 is the only event of it’s kind to convene sports leaders from across the globe to support the advance towards a low carbon future for sports operations and events, as well as the education and engagement of fans on climate change. Leaders from sports properties, governing bodies and federations as well as climate stakeholders, Government and UN bodies join us. Supported by UNFCCC Global Climate Action, it is an annual meeting place for the Sports for Climate Action Framework signatories, as well as the wider sports community who are pursuing heightened sustainability efforts. Designed specifically for those who are looking to reduce the environmental impact of their sporting event, you will hear from leaders in sport and climate, network with your peers from all over the world and gain crucial insights into the tools you need to reduce your climate footprint and engage your fans and consumers to reduce theirs. Under one roof, the entire community can learn from each other, disseminate good practices, develop new tools and bolster partnerships within areas of mutual interest. The Summit is a touchstone for the sector’s advancement; supporting year-round progress and promoting accountability and reporting.
