Seattle Community Impact Event for Green Sports Day with EarthCorps and Green Seattle

Restore the Hitt's Hill ecosystem by removing non-native species (like ivy and blackberry) and preparing areas for winter planting October 9 from 10am - 1pm with EarthCorps and Green Seattle!

Activities include: Removing weeds (like ivy or blackberry). Maintaining areas where these weeds have been removed (weeding or spreading mulch). Planting trees and shrubs during the rainy season (often ~Oct.-Feb.)

Please be aware that our work involves a range of physical activities including walking, bending, grabbing, and potentially:

• Navigating varied terrain: including uneven surfaces, slopes, and possibly muddy or sandy areas.

• Sustaining positions: like kneeling, crouching, or standing for extended periods.

• Contributing to tasks requiring visual and auditory awareness: such as identifying plant species (we will show you!) and following safety instructions.
