This year, the Sustainability, Energy, and Entertainment Network (SEEN) at Columbia's Climate School is partnering with the Green Sports Alliance, Hollywood Climate Summit, Music Sustainability Alliance, Sustainable Entertainment Alliance, and Broadway Green Alliance to convene leaders from sports, entertainment, and media for an afternoon of networking and expert panel discussions focused on advancing sustainability. Under the theme Powering Forward, the event will build on recent industry momentum and explore how organizations can accelerate impact through innovation, cross-sector partnerships, and shared leadership.

Programming Taking Shape:

Venues as a Catalyst for Community Resilience
How stadiums, arenas, and entertainment venues can use their footprint and influence to create lasting environmental and community impact.

Beyond the Game: How Sports Build Stronger Communities
How teams, leagues, and athletes are using their platforms, influence, and investment to strengthen communities and drive social impact.

Wearing Your Values: The Future of Sustainable Apparel + Merch
How sports and entertainment can rethink apparel and merchandise through circularity, responsible production, and more sustainable fandom.

Sustainable Practices at the World’s Biggest Live Events
What sports, concerts, festivals, and live entertainment can learn from the people making the world’s largest events more sustainable.

Discussions will focus on four key areas:

  • Storytelling, Media & Culture (driving climate action through influence and engagement);
  • Sustainable Live Events (creating greener concerts, festivals, and sporting events);
  • Community Resilience Through Venues (leveraging venues to create lasting environmental and community impact); and
  • Sustainable Apparel & Merchandising (advancing circularity and responsible consumer products).

Attendees will represent professionals leading sustainability efforts across sports, music, entertainment, media, merchandising, community impact, colleges and universities, alongside students and emerging professionals.
