Hayward Community Impact Event for Green Sports Day with East Bay Regional Park District

Prune, weed, lay down mulch and help maintain the park’s apple orchard on October 7 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm with East Bay Regional Park District

Volunteers help with pruning, weeding, laying down mulch, and helping maintain the apple orchard. During the Apple festival volunteers will assist answering the public's questions about the history and uniqueness of the apple orchard.

‍What to Bring: reusable water bottle, work gloves, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses; wear closed toed shoes, long pants, layered clothing as weather can be unpredictable.

‍What is Provided: Necessary tools.

‍Weather: Heavy rain or unsafe wildfire smoke conditions cancel the program.Please wear layers as Bay Area weather can be unpredictable.
