Chicago Community Impact Event for Green Sports Day - Cradles to Crayons

Volunteer with Cradles to Crayons on Tuesday, Oct 6, 9:30am - 11:30am!

Sort clothing and package donations to help children who are clothing insecure and to prevent textile waste on October 6.

The Giving Factory is a warehouse environment. Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes and layered clothing that they do not mind getting dirty. Your volunteer shift will begin with an orientation led by a Cradles to Crayons staff member and then volunteers will be sent to their stations to inspect, sort, and package donations alongside other individuals and groups. Cradles to Crayons is wheelchair accessible and can provide reasonable accommodation for any volunteers who might need it—please just let us know. Each shift will end with a wrap-up by a C2C staff member, and an opportunity to learn the number of children you impacted during your shift and to take group pictures.

Location: 2500 W. Bradley Place, Chicago IL 60618. Please note that your GPS will not take you directly to our section of the property. Our warehouse is located in the back (north) side of the building. Follow the parking lot all the way around Climb Zone, and look for the big purple awning.
