Austin Community Impact Event for Green Sports Day with Urban Roots Farm

Volunteer with Urban Roots Farm on October 1st from 9am-11:30am!

We invite you to spend meaningful time with our community and visit our South Farm. You will soak up the fresh air and help support our mission of farming to grow young minds and cultivate tomorrow’s leaders. 🌱

Our team will teach you what you need to know to help us tend to the farm, our classroom, and grow fresh food! We need volunteers to nurture the land and plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables and prepare them for our neighbors.

Here's what to bring (we will be outside the whole time!):  Wear comfortable & protective clothing. All farm guests are REQUIRED to wear CLOSED-TOED SHOES and we highly encourage LONG PANTS. A full water bottle for the day – we have water for refills! Sun protection: we have very limited shade available! Any specific rescue/intervention devices like inhalers, epi pens, etc. – we have standard first aid materials on hand.
