Original Event Description
10th Annual Green Sports Alliance Summit October 13-14, 2020
2020 marks the Green Sports Alliance’s 10th anniversary. This year’s Summit, “Game On! The Future of Sports & Sustainability,” will recognize the past decade of growth in the green sports movement and look towards the next ten years, while we set a new standard of excellence for sports and sustainability. As our world faces three global pandemics – climate change, Covid-19 and systemic racism – we must come together to leverage the power of sports to create impactful change within our global communities and set the sports industry up for a more sustainable, just and resilient future. The 2020 Green Sports Alliance Summit will be a two-day virtual event series full of high-level speakers, deep dive workshops and tailored networking opportunities for the entire sports greening community. We will convene crucial conversations about how to best leverage the power of sports to address the most pressing environmental and social issues we will face over the next decade and beyond. SAVE THE DATES:
- Tuesday October 6th – A pre-kick off to the 2020 Summit with a full-day celebration of the 5th annual “Green Sports Day” featuring free video conversations showcasing the growth and momentum of the green sports movement.

See you in October! -The Green Sports Alliance Team “The health and well-being of our members, partners, staff, and all those within our community are of the utmost priority to us. The unprecedented shutdown of the sports industry has been very difficult, and we hope that by moving our 10th Anniversary Summit online we will be able to best support the sports greening movement in a safe and accessible way.” – Roger McClendon, Executive Director of the Green Sports Alliance.
